Looking back to the year 2009, Facebook did not even make it into the top 10; it was only ranked 15th in fact. And this year 2010 the top spot award was given to facebook by the Magazine and this made the facebook management truly proud for its astonishing success! 
Presently, facebook is totally experiencing the success that Google, Intel, and Microsoft had reaped over a couple of years. The facebook management stated that their team is 100 percent ready to handle some real instability that might come up along with their globally stable operations.
Just last month facebook has earned more than 133 million unique users and that data was provided by compete.com. Although Facebook keep on rushing forward when it comes to popularity, it is also raking up some statistics with its monthly user engagement or awareness. In January, 11.6% of all time spent online was dedicated to Facebook while only 4.25% for Yahoo and 4.1% for Google.
Although Facebook is the world’s highly renowned social network, there are also several globetrotting sites, like LinkedIn, which targets career-minded individuals; MySpace, which focuses on music and entertainment; and Twitter, a networking site which allows members to send out 140-character messages distinguished as “tweets”.
This is really an amazing year for facebook! And in fact this globally well-like social networking site celebrates its sixth birthday this month and is now the second most accepted site on the internet next to Google.
